NOTE: The VFW is located in a rural section of Sayreville. You will go through town and it will change to woods
on both sides. You are not lost. The VFW Hall is across from the Starland Ballroom. It has no street address.

FROM NEW JERSEY TURNPIKE - EXIT 11:

1.) Get off NJ Turnpike at Exit 11 and follow sign to get on Garden State Parkway South

2.) Get off the Garden State Parkway on Exit 124 going south

3.) At the top of the ramp make a right turn onto Main St. in Sayreville

4.) Continue on Main St. and make a right turn at the very first gas station you see on your right. After making
the right turn you will now be on Macarthur Avenue.

5.) Continue on Macarthur Avenue. Go straight through the first stop light. Macarthur Avenue automatically
changes into Jernee Mill Road after you cross Washington Road. You will see a Wawa Convenience
Store on the right corner where Macarthur Avenue turns into Jernee Mill Road.

6.) Continue on Jernee Mill Road and the VFW Hall will be on your left across from the Starland Ballroom.

We encourage the public to pre-register to give testimony. (Individuals that pre-register to testify in advance will be heard first.)   It is important to remember that the time to testify will be three minutes, for those needing translations, the time taken by the interpreters will not count as part of the two minutes allotted.

 Individuals will also have an opportunity to register to give testimony before and during the first 15 minutes of the public hearing and may submit written testimony to the panel at any time.  

 The Immigrant Policy Panel is charged with developing recommendations regarding how to more successfully integrate the rapidly growing immigrant population in New Jersey. 

 The Panel calls on the public to testify on issues confronting New Jersey’s immigrant population, including:

 

     

·        Issues related to State and local government

·        Social services (including health care, language access/cultural  competency)

·        Education (elementary, secondary and higher education)

·        Work force, labor and economic development

 

 

All testimonies will be considered by the panel members as they provide ongoing recommendations to the Governor.

From Manhattan
Take the #99S bus from Port Authority Bus Terminal directly to the University. Or take the PATH subway to Journal Square and follow the directions below.

From PATH Terminal at Journal Square
Take the #10 South Boulevard bus from platform D1 directly to the University's main entrance. Or board the #80 Newark Avenue/Gates Avenue bus, and get off at Audubon and West Side Avenues. From here, you may either walk the three short blocks to campus, or take the free shuttle bus which stops inside the University's parking lot on West Side Avenue.

From the Hudson-Bergen Light Rail:
Take Hudson-Bergen Light Rail to West Side Avenue stop, (last stop). Walk 4 blocks south on West Side Avenue to Culver Avenue. Turn left on Culver and walk 3 short blocks to the main campus, or walk one more block to Audubon Avenue to take the free shuttle bus which stops inside the University's parking lot on West Side Avenue.

From New York City (Holland Tunnel)
After exiting the Holland Tunnel, go straight and up the hill. Maneuver yourself into the center lanes (an exit from the Turnpike will be on the right; then an exit for Routes 1 & 9 will be on your left). Continue through approximately seven lights. You will enter Journal Square. Follow Kennedy Blvd. as it turns right at Journal Square. Continue on Kennedy Blvd. to the University.

NJ Turnpike
Take 280 East, 80 East, or Route 3 East to the NJ Turnpike. Take Turnpike to Exit 15E. Pay toll, and follow signs to Routes 1 & 9 North (Truck Route). Go over two bridges to a traffic light. Stay straight at the light. After the McDonalds (on the right hand side) go to the 2nd traffic light and make a right turn on Kennedy Boulevard. NJCU is 12 blocks down on the right hand side. Parking is on Culver Avenue.

From Routes 78, 1 & 9
Take Route 78 East to Routes 1 & 9 North. Route 1 & 9 will split. Stay to the right (1 & 9 North Truck Route). Do not go to the Pulaski Skyway. Take 1 & 9 over two bridges to a traffic light. Stay straight at the light. After the McDonalds (on the right hand side) go to the 2nd traffic light and make a right turn on Kennedy Boulevard. NJCU is 12 blocks down on the right hand side. Parking is on Culver Avenue.

From Garden State Parkway (Northbound)

Under Fox’s presidency of Mexico outward migration from Mexico increased 152 percent.
Fox publicly blasts cities like Irving, Texas for arresting and deporting illegal alien criminals.
Fox calls anyone who is against the illegal alien criminal invasion a “xenophobe.” (Dallas Morning News, Interview, 10-14-2007)
Fox says building a wall on our southern border is “isolating” ourselves

IMMIGRATION REFORM ROUNDTABLE
PRINCETON UNIVERSITY
MONDAY, JUNE 25

NJCIC will be participating in an Immigration Reform Roundtable to take place on Monday, June 25th from 8:30 am to 2:00 pm at 300 Wallace Hall, Princeton University in Princeton, NJ.

 The roundtable is being sponsored by the Latin American Legal Defense and Education Fund (LALDEF) which is a pro-immigration advocacy group.

 The roundtable will include participants with a wide range of points of view regarding immigration. Confirmed participants so far include Mayor Cresitello of Morristown, NJ,  Mayor Bob Patten of Hightstown, NJ, Congressman Rush Holt, Paul Streitz of the United Patriots of America, and Tamar Jacoby of the Manhattan Institute.

The roundtable is open to the public by invitation only. You can try to obtain an invitation by e-mailing charoj@verizon.net and say that you learned about the roundtable from the NJCIC website.

 It should be a lively group! If you’re free that day, please attend.  

3/23/07: FAIR Plans "Hold Their Feet to the Fire" Rally in Washington DC on April 22nd to 25th.

The Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR), which is the oldest immigration reform group in the country, has teamed up with popular San Diego talk show host Roger Hedgecock and dozens of other radio talk show hosts to have the "Hold Their Feet to the Fire" rally in Washington DC on April 22nd to 25th. Hundreds, possibly thousands, of anti-illegal immigration activists will be there to lobby politicians to our cause.

PETITION TO PARDON US BORDER AGENTS SENTENCED TO PRISON FOR DOING THEIR JOB!

Two US Border Agents have been sentenced to decade long prison terms for apprehending an illegal alien at our border.

Almost as outrageous is that the illegal alien drug smuggler, who was given immunity for testifying against the agents, is now suing the US for $5 million, claiming he was permanently injured.
